Historic Renovation / Adaptive Reuse
Historic Restoration is a unique area of construction that requires an innovative, creative, and skilled general contractor to ensure the quality, timely and the accurate preservation of each project. We have the knowledge and expertise to restore and renovate historic buildings to replicate the original look in addtion to the repair of water damaged roofs, termite infested walls, restoration of hardwood floors and other problem areas destroyed by age and years of neglect.
For clients restoring historic buildings, we also offer consulting services for the tax credit application process through our investment division Hunt Investments LLC. We provide comprehensive tax credit consulting services designed to assist clients through the entire tax credit life cycle process.
We have provided historic restorations/renovations for numerous projects that are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Pre Construction
Addressing critical details during preconstruction frequently results in fewer construction-phase change orders, resulting in reduced construction time, and cost savings. This process ensures that the finished product meets our client’s needs. We develop and maintain accurate construction cost estimates as well as analyze scheduling, materials, building systems, and construction methods. We also employ input from a wide range of our partners in such disciplines as mechanical and electrical systems, foundations, structural detailing, and purchasing.
The involvement of Construction 1st professionals during this planning stage ensures continuity between preconstruction and construction, so that decisions made during project planning are accurately implemented in the field.
